Sprint Football Jump Out To Early Lead, Fall To Franklin Pierce 28-14

Box Score

Post squared off against Franklin Pierce in front of 400-plus fans at Sodexo Field in Rindge, NH on Saturday afternoon.

Buddy Enriquez (Sacramento, CA) connected with Ladarrius Phillips (Tuscaloosa, AL) for a touchdown four minutes into the game to cap a six play, 31 yard scoring drive. The touchdown strike served as the first offensive touchdown of the season for Post. Enriquez saw the majority of snaps at quarterback for the eagles after not seeing anytime at quarterback in the first game.

Enriquez had a solid game in his first start at quarterback this season. His final line was 13-24 passing for 124 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.

Shortly after the first score, Davion Williams (Pasadena, TX) found the end zone on a 15 yard rush to put Post up 14-0 in the first quarter. Williams rushed for 64 yards on 19 carries along with one score.

Franklin Pierce went on to score 28 unanswered points while controlling the ground game to the tune of 288 rushing yards. All four touchdowns for Franklin Pierce came on the ground.

The Eagles only turned the ball over once and took better care of the ball coming off of a six turnover game last time out. They also showed better discipline with penalties, accumulating 100 less penalty yards than last game. Post converted both of their red-zone opportunities they had.

Post will host Caldwell next Saturday at LaMoy Field. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
