Bronxville, N.Y. - Sha'Raya Haines converted a layup at the 4:03 mark in the first quarter to put the Eagles up 13-11 and they never looked back from there in a dominant 68-52 win over Concordia College.
Haines led the Eagles in scoring with 22 points while also contributing five rebounds and one block.
The Eagles used stingy defense in the first half to hold the Clippers to 19 total points, including only six in the second quarter. The strong defensive effort included three steals and four blocks while only allowing the Clippers to shoot 22% from the field.
Mia Crooms put together an outstanding first half with ten points on 4-6 shooting from the field with seven rebounds and one block. Crooms finished the game with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
The third quarter saw the Eagles rack up 23 points, their third highest total for a quarter this season. The game's largest lead also came in the third quarter when the Eagles took a commanding 26 points lead at the 1:50 mark.
On the game, the Eagles shot 39% from the field (23-59) and 26% from deep (5-19) while converting on 81% (17-21) free throws.
Lauren Chambers was the Eagles third double-figure scorer with 11 points off the bench. Chambers added three rebounds and two assists in the winning effort.
Gabriela Middleton led the team in assists with three while adding seven points, five rebounds, two steals and a block.
Taylor Ceballos put together her best rebounding effort of the season with nine.
The Eagles will return home on Wednesday, Dec. 19 to take on Caldwell University at 2:00 p.m.
