Box Score The Eagles traveled to Nyack to kickoff their CACC schedule and came away with a 74-65 victory.
Scoring began at a slow pace for the Eagles, as the halftime score was 32-26 in favor of the Warriors, with the Warriors enjoying a nine point lead at one point in the second quarter.
The second half was a much different story. Post jumped out of the second half gates on a 10-0 run and would go on to score a total of 48 points in the half. Lauren Chambers led the way with 23 points on the game, including 16 in the second half and nine in the final five minutes of the game. Chambers play in the final five minutes was crucial, as the score was tied at 57-57 at the five minute mark. Chambers also added four rebounds and an assist.
One of the biggest factors in the game was the Eagles ability to control the glass. Post out-rebounded Nyack 53-37, led by Melanie Polanco, Mia Crooms and Taylor Ceballos who all contributed with seven boards.
While the Eagles 14-21 (67%) free throw shooting on the game doesn't jump off the page, their timely free throw shooting in the final two minutes, 7-8 (88%), helped secured a third straight win.
Sha'Raya Haines, the Eagles second leading scorer, added 16 points on 7 of 12 shooting from the field with four rebounds in her 26 minutes of play.
Other important contributions included Ann Marie Nelson's four blocks, Taylor Ceballos' 12 points and seven rebounds as well as Hannah Benacs' eight points, six rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes of play.
