WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Post University sprint football team fell to Army in its season-opener 70-0 on Saturday afternoon in West Point, N.Y. The Eagles next play a home against Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) newcomer Caldwell on September 30.
The Black Knights scored four touchdowns in the first quarter to jump out to a 28-0 lead. The Eagles had a chance late in the first as they recovered a fumble on the Army 10-yard line, but the drive stalled on a failed fourth down attempt.
Post's longest drive of the day came late in the fourth quarter. Freshman
Luis Medina (Bristol, Conn.) rushed for 20 of his team-high 37 yards during the drive that put the Eagles in Army territory before a fumble ended the threat.

Hansley Dalambert (Burlington Township, N.J.) led the team with five total tackles (one for a loss) and a forced fumble. Junior
Matthew Terlizzi (Watertown, Conn.), senior
Eleodoro Perez (Chino, Calif.), and sophomore
Quenntin Thompson (Amityville, N.Y.) each added four tackles.
Post will play its home-opener on Saturday, Sept. 30 against Caldwell. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
