Orangeburg, N.Y. - The Post University Eagles women's basketball team lost its final regular season game of the season to Dominican, 63-33 Tuesday night in a Central Atlantic Collegiate game.
Sophomore
Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) led the Eagles with 10 points. Classmate
Lexus Childs-Harris (New London, Conn.) scored nine.
Deren opened up the game with a three-pointer to give the Eagles their lone lead of the game. The Chargers outscored Post 21-4 the rest of the quarter for a 21-7 lead.Â
The Chargers opened up its lead to 21 points at 30-9 with 4:54 left in the second quarter, but the Eagles cut the deficit back to 14 before the end of the half with a 9-2 run. Junior
Jessica Ayala (Middletown, N.Y.) scored five points, including a three-pointer, during the run.
Domican put the game away in the second half, outscoring the Eagles 31-15.
Sophomore
Emily McCann (Gold Coast, Australia) led all players with 10 rebounds.
Deja Gabbidon led the Chargers (14-14, 10-9 CACC) Â in scoring with 14 points. Aliyah Alston and Lisa Bouffard each scored 12.
Post finished their season at 4-24 overall and 4-15 in the CACC.Â
