Ceballos Has Double-Double In 78-42 Loss To Assumption

Worcester, Mass.  – Freshman Taylor Ceballos (Milford, Conn.) had 13 points and 11 rebounds for her first-career double-double, but the Post University women's basketball team dropped a 78-42 game to Assumption on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles fell behind early in the first half and trailed 49-16 at the break. Ceballos and classmate Samantha Levin (North Smithfield, R.I.) each scored six points for the Eagles during that time.

Post made a little more noise in the third quarter, outscoring the Greyhounds, 16-14. Ceballos scored seven points and senior Dericka Sims (Chesapeake, Va.) scored five points in the quarter.

The Greyhounds would pull away in the final quarter for the win.

Levin finished with eight points in the game and sophomore Gabriela Middleton (Coral Springs, Fl.) and Sims each scored six for the Eagles. The Eagles were stellar at the free-throw line, going 22-for-30 on the day.

Four players scored in double figures for the Greyhounds. Morgan O'Brien scored 14, Allison Stoddard had 12, and Kiera O'Donnell and Abby McKanna each had 11.
