Ridge, N.H. – The Post University Sprint Football team dropped a 38-0 road game to Franklin Pierce on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Eagles are now 0-3 on the season.
Junior quarterback Greg Volpe (North Haven, Conn.) led the Eagles in passing, going 11-for-16 passing for 71 yards and no interceptions. Freshman Malcolm Ware (Sutherlin, Va.) led the Eagles on the ground with 35 yards on eight carries.
The Ravens went up 3-0 with 7:56 left in the first quarter on a field goal from Kyle Salucco.
Franklin Pierce added two more scores in the second quarter on a touchdown pass from Derek Reddy to Shawn DeCost with 5:47 in the second quarter left and a six yard touchdown run from D.J. MacDonald 2:10 later. The Ravens went in to the half up 17-0.
Franklin Pierce would score with 10:29 left in the third quarter on a ten yard fumble recovery from Rogowsky. The Ravens would tack on another touchdown run from MacDonald in the third and a four-yard touchdown run from Shannon Edwards late in the fourth.
On the defensive end, Junior Chris Leggio (Brewster, N.Y.) racked up 14 tackles for Post.
