Preview: Eagles Try To Make It Two In A Row

Post Has Won Last Five Meetings Against Nyack

Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University women's basketball team looks to make it two wins in a row as it takes on Nyack on the road in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference tilt on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Eagles, who are 4-12 overall and 4-3   - and in fourth place in the CACC North -  are coming off of a 74-58 win at home against Concordia on Jan. 13 which snapped a nine game losing streak. It was the second time this season the Eagles defeated the Clippers.

The Eagles used the deep ball as freshman Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) scored 18 points, hitting 4-of-10 three-point attempts. Classmate Nicole Viselli (Groveland, Ma.) went 4-for-11 from deep for 16 points. Sophomore Dericka Sims (Chesapeake, Va.) scored 10 points off the bench, going 5-for-6 from the field.

Top 10 List
Junior Deaisia Acklin (Bronx, N.Y.) is currently eighth in the CACC in points per game at 14.2. She is seventh in the CACC in total points with 228.  A major reason for Acklin's success scoring is due to her ability to get to the free-throw line. She has made 56 free throws this year, putting her fifth in the conference.

About Nyack

The Warriors are coming off of a 68-50 loss to Felician on Jan. 13. They have lost 11 games in a row,

Post has had a lot of success against the Warriors, leading the all-time series, 15-9. The Eagles have won the last five meetings between the two teams. Here is a look at the recent history between the two teams:
