Preview: Eagles Look To Beat Concordia For Second Time

Eagles Currently Hold Final CACC Playoff Spot

Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University women's basketball team will look to snap a nine game losing streak as it hosts Concordia in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game on Jan. 13 at the Drubner Center at 5:30 p.m.

The Eagles are 3-12 overall and 3-3 in the CACC, which puts them in fourth place in the North Division.

In their last game, the Eagles lost 81-54 to Caldwell despite jumping out to a 10-4 lead to begin the game and holding a lead throughout the majority of the first half.

Junior Deaisia Acklin (Bronx, N.Y.) led the Eagles in scoring with 15 points. Freshman Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) scored eight points - including hitting two three-pointers - and grabbing six rebounds.

Top Ten List
Acklin is currently seventh in the CACC in points per game at 14.7. She is fifth in total points scored at 220. On the defensive end, she is ninth in steals with 27. As a team, the Eagles are second in the CACC in steals at 9.7 per game.

About Concordia
The Clippers are 3-10 overall and 3-4 in the CACC, putting them in fourth place in the North Division. They have lost three of their last four games and are coming off of an 81-65 loss to Felician.

They are led by Julianne Wilkinson, who averages 13.8 points per game, which is 11th in the CACC. 

This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Eagles won 74-66 on November 19 at Concordia. Freshman Lexus Childs-Harris scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Senior Jacquelynne Pugh (Grahamsville, N.Y.) scored 18 and Acklin scored 16 and grabbed 10 rebounds.
