Waterbury, Conn. – The streaking Post University Eagles face their toughest matchup of the season as they take on the Philadelphia Rams in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup on Feb. 8 at the Drubner Center at 1 p.m.
The Eagles (8-11, 8-5 CACC) have been on a roll lately, winning their last three games, including their most recent match, a 95-70 throttling of Nyack on Feb. 6. In that game, senior Raven Wright-James scored a career high 28 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season. Senior Aubrey Latham also had an all-around night, scoring 19 points with six rebounds and six assists and five steals. As a team, the Eagles shot 56.9 percent (37-for-65) from the field. The Eagles are currently third in the North Division of the CACC.
Philadelphia comes in as the top team in the CACC South Division and throughout, with a 14-5 record overall, and an unblemished 12-0 record in the conference. The Rams have won six straight games overall, including an 82-73 win over Wilmington on Feb. 5.
Still Leading The Way
Latham has her eyes set on the CACC scoring title this year as she is averaging 22.6 points per game, tops in the conference. She also ranks fourth in field goal percentage (52.7) and fourth in three-point percentage (39.6). Sophomore Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) is right behind her at 37.3 percent from deep.
As a team, the Eagles lead the CACC in scoring at 78.9 points per game.
A Tough Go Of It
The Eagles look for their first win overall against the Rams, as they are 0-10 all-time. Seven of the ten games were decided by double digits, but the Eagles have played well of late against the Rams, losing by just six and seven points, respectively in their most recent matchups.

Ram Tough
Philadelphia is led by junior Najah Jacobs. She leads the team in points at 16.4 (eighth in the CACC) points per game and leads the conference in three-point percentage at 54.5 percent.
The Rams are second in the conference in scoring – behind the Eagles – at 75.7 points per game. They also don't turn the ball over, averaging just 15.7 turnovers in the conference, which is good for the second lowest. They are also the top team from deep, shooting a miraculous 45.4 percent from three-point range.
