Preview: Eagles Travel To Georgian Court For Final CACC Game

Need A Win To Help Playoff Chances

Waterbury, Conn. – The Post University women's basketball team will play its final Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on the road this season and look to grab a conference playoff spot in the process as it takes on Georgian Court at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Eagles are currently riding a two-game losing streak, and would need a win and either a loss from Felician or two losses from Dominican to make the tournament. If all three teams win out, Post is the odd team out due to tiebreaker scenarios.

In their last game, the Eagles (9-15, 9-9 CACC) took a lead into halftime, but lost, 83-73 to Dominican on Feb. 20. The Eagles were outscored 52-36 in the second half. Senior Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) led the Eagles with 23 points on the night and senior Raven Wright-James (Middletown, Conn.) had a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

HONING IN ON SCORING TITLE

Latham is currently the leading scorer in the CACC at 22.3 points per game and she look to take home the scoring title with one game left. She is also third in field goal percentage at 52.3 percent.
