Preview: Eagles Look To Make Run At CACC Tournament

Want Payback From Earlier Loss To Bloomfield



Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University women's basketball team will keep its eye on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament as it takes on North Division leader, Bloomfield on Tuesday at the Drubner Center with a 6 p.m. tip-off.

In their last game, all five starters for the Eagles scored in double figures as they defeated Chestnut Hill, 89-73. Senior Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) finished the game with 25 points and senior Raven Wright-James(Middletown, Conn.) notched another double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The Eagles are currently third in the North Division with a 9-13 overall record and a 9-7 record in the CACC.

Revenge On Their Mind

The two teams last met on Dec. 18, 2013 in Bloomfield, N.J. with the Deacons winning, 76-58. The Eagles fell behind by 15 points at halftime and were unable to muster a comeback in the sec on half. Latham - the leading scorer in the CACC at 22.2 ppg - scored 20 points to lead the Eagles. Off the bench, freshman Dericka Sims (Chesapeake, Va.) scored 11.

Overall, the Eagles are 4-19 against the Deacons, but have won three of the last four meetings. Here is a look at the most recent matchups between the teams.
