Preview: Eagles Look To Stop Two-Game Skid

Wright-James Honored

Waterbury, Conn. – The Post University women's basketball team looks to right its ship after dropping two straight games, as it takes on Chestnut Hill on Feb. 15 at the Drubner Center at 1 p.m.

In their previous game, the Eagles dropped a 77-68 decision to Caldwell in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup. During that game, the Eagles fell behind early and nearly came back from a 22-point deficit. Senior Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) led the Eagles in scoring that game with 22 points. All of her points came in the second half, which ignited the comeback attempt.

Wright-James Honored

Senior Raven Wright-James was honored for her play last week, being named CACC player of the week, averaging 21.5 points and 14.0 rebounds in two games. On Feb. 6, she scored a career-high 28 points in a 95-70 victory over Nyack. She also had 11 rebounds with three steals and four assists. Against Philadelphia on Feb. 8, Wright-James had a career-high 17 rebounds and added 15 points. It was the first time in her career that she received the honor.

Raising Awareness

The Eagles will wear pink warm-ups and shoelaces as part of its annual Think Pink game to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Post and Chestnut Hill have split the six games they have played against each other all-time, as the series stands at 3-3. Post has won the previous two games, including a 69-61 game on Dec. 8, 2012. In that game, Latham led the team with 19 points and also pulled down seven rebounds.
