Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University women's university team gets back to action on New Year's Eve after a 10 day layoff as it takes on Lock Haven at 1 p.m. in a non-conference road game.
The Eagles are currently on a five-game losing streak, and are 3-8 overall and 3-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. They are in third place in the North Division.
In the Eagles last game on December 21, they lost to College of Saint Rose, 83-36. Freshman Lexus Childs-Harris (New London, Conn.) led the Eagles with 11 points.
Top Ten List
Childs-Harris is currently ninth in the CACC in points, averaging 14.1 ppg. She is also third in free-throws made with 45. Junior Deaisia Acklin (Bronx, N.Y.) is just behind Childs-Harris in free-throws made with 44.
Junior Kristine Ripson (Youngstown, N.Y.) is sixth in the CACC in blocks with 14.
About The Other Eagles
The Lock Haven Lady Eagles are out of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and are currently 2-7 overall and 2-4 in the PSAC, good enough for seventh place in the East division. In their last game, the Lady Eagles snapped a two-game losing streak and defeated Seton Hill, 61-46 on December 20.
Three players average double figures in points for Lock Haven. Sami Lane leads the way at 11.7 points per game. Marrysa Moyer averages 10.3 ppg and Rachael McDaniel averages 10.2.
The two teams have only met once, as Lock Haven won 64-59 in the 2010-2011 season.
