Eagles To Open Up CACC Play

Look For First Win



Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University women's basketball team looks to snap a two game losing streak as it takes on Concordia in its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game in Bronxville, N.Y. on November 19 at 5:30 p.m.

The Eagles (0-2) are coming off of a 72-57 loss to defending Division II National Champions, Bentley. 

Senior Jacquelynne Pugh (Grahamsville N.Y.) led three players in double figures for the Eagles as she scored 14 points. Freshmen Nicole Viselli (Groveland, Ma.) and Lexus Childs-Harris (New London, Conn.) had 12 points and 11 points, respectively.

Staying Efficient

Junior Deaisia Acklin (Bronx, N.Y.) is fifth in the young season in field goal percentage, shooting at 55 percent throughout the first two games.

About Concordia

Concordia is also winless on the season, having dropped its first two games of the season. Last season the Clippers were winless on the season, going 0-26 overall and 0-19 in the CACC. They have lost 29 straight games dating back to the 2012-2013 season.

The Clippers are coming off of a 96-62 loss to Indiana (Pa.) on Nov. 15.

Freshman Julianne WIlkinson is the team's leading scorer on the team at 12 points per game. Sophomore Jessica Rosalbo is averaging 11.5 ppg. 

The Eagles have dominated in the head-to-head matchup, leading 11-2, including two wins last season. In the most recent meeting, former Eagle Aubrey Latham became Post's all-time leading scorer in a 91-62 win at the Drubner Center.
