PREVIEW: Post To Host Play 4 Kay Doubleheader Saturday

Post Athletics To Host Breast Cancer Awareness Game On Saturday Against Chestnut Hill

WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University Athletics Department will host a Play 4 Kay doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at the Drubner Center, when the Eagles host Chestnut Hill in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action. The goal of the games is to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.

“Personally, I've experienced what breast cancer can do first-hand because my mom is a survivor,” women's basketball senior Taylor Doyle (Mystic, Conn.) said. “It's great to have support from family, friends and the community. I think the games are a great way to provide awareness for breast cancer because it is becoming so common. I hope we can find a cure for this horrible disease.”

Cupcakes and breast cancer ribbons will be available for a suggested donation of $1. T-shirts can be purchased for a suggested donation of $10. All proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society.

About Play 4 Kay
The WBCA Pink Zone is being rebranded as Play 4Kay for February 2012. The mission of the initiative, which was brought to life in 2007, will remain intact: a nation of coaches raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund will continue to be the official charity of the initiative.
