PREVIEW: Women's Basketball Faces Tough Test At Holy Family Saturday

Eagles Look To Snap Skid Against CACC South Division Leaders

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Post University women's basketball team travels to take on perennial Central Atlantic Athletic Conference (CACC) powerhouse Holy Family on Saturday, Jan 21, in the third game of its four-game road stretch. The Eagles look to snap their current three-game losing streak.
LAST TIME OUT:
Post struggled Wednesday, Jan. 18 in Felician, falling 73-52. Monique Chance (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recorded her third double-double of the season in defeat, and first since Nov. 23. Chance finished with 16 points and tied a career-high with 21 rebounds. As a team, the Eagles held a 46-43 advantage on the glass.
SERIES HISTORY: 
Post has dropped all nine contests against the Holy Family Tigers since the 2005-06 season. In their only matchup last year, Holy Family defeated the Eagles 98-51.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS:
Holy Family leads the CACC South Division and is riding a five-game winning streak. Junior center Erin Mann leads the offensive attack, averaging 18.1 points per game, which ranks third in the CACC. The Tigers lead the conference with 18.1 assists per game. Holy Family is second in scoring with 71.3 points per game, while only allowing its opponents 62.4 points per game.
CHANCE ON THE GLASS:
Senior forward Monique Chance has been a force on the boards all season, averaging 10.1 rebounds per contest, good for fourth in the CACC. On Nov. 20 against Washington Adventist and on Jan. 18 at Felician, she pulled down 21 rebounds, the seventh highest single-game total in CACC history.
ON THE HORIZON:
Post will head down to Concordia (N.Y.) on Tuesday, Jan. 24 for the final game of its road stretch.
