Lady Eagles' road woes continue in 55-33 loss to Nyack

NYACK, N.Y. (February 9, 2011)—Life ain't easy on the road. The Post University women's basketball team dropped to 1-9 away from the friendly confines of the Drubner Center after falling to Nyack College, 55-33, on Wednesday night.

Courtney Peay led the Lady Warriors (8-13, 4-9 CACC) with 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Nyack opened the game on an 21-4 run, and never looked back, taking a 30-15 lead into the break.

The second half wasn't much different, as the Lady Warriors dominated on the inside, and built a 50-28 advantage with 6:00 left to play.

The Eagles really struggled shooting the ball, going just 9-for-56 (16.1 percent) for the game. The team shot just 2-for-20 from three-point range.

Nyack shot just 31 percent for the game, but received plenty of balance offensively as seven players scored at least 6 points.

Kelli Reynolds led Post University (7-13, 5-8 CACC) with 10 points. Monique Chance added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists for the Eagles.

The Eagles return to Waterbury to face Holy Family in the first of three straight home games on Saturday. Tip is scheduled for 1 pm.
