Game Notes: Eagles Women’s Basketball Looks To End Streak

Coming off a tough loss at home on Saturday to Felician in which they led by as many as 11, the Eagles will head to Bloomfield on Thursday night to face the Lady Deacons. Bloomfield has fell in their first two CACC contests of the season.

Scouting The Lady Deacons
Bloomfield led Dominican 43-32 at the break, but fell 69-65 in their last game. The loss was their second straight and fourth overall. Their only victory has come against Bridgeport, a team which has defeated the Eagles, 70-62. Ivettlis Castro and Vanessa Lamison are the leading scorers, each averaging 10.8 ppg. Lamison is also second in rebounds with 6.0 rpg, behind Lauren Deverin with 7.0 rpg. The Lady Deacons are third in the conference with 10.6 steals per game.
 
Series History
Bloomfield has had Post's number as of late. The Eagles have been unable to claim a victory in any of the previous twelve contests between the two dating back to the 05-06 season. Last season Bloomfield defeated Post 81-65 at Drubner and took an 84-45 on their home court.

Well-Rounded Team
The Eagles sit near the top of most statistical categories in the conference, but have been unable to translate that into victories. They are first in rebounding at 47.0 rpg, three more than the team below them and points per game with 72.6 ppg. Second in field goal percentage at 39.6%, and third in assists (13.4) and blocks (4.4).
