Box Score

PHILADELPHIA, PA (December 10, 2011) Kelli Reynolds scored 19 points and grabbed eight boards, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles struggles continued on Saturday. The 79-65 defeat puts Post at 2-7 overall and 0-3 in the CACC.

USciences went out ahead 4-0 early, but two quick baskets by Casey Brooks and Reynolds pulled the Eagles even at four at 15:56. The game would stay close for a few minutes until the Devils' Brianne Traub scored five straight points to give USciences a 20-10 lead with 10:32 left in the first.

A three-pointer by Taylor Doyle cut the lead to 22-17 at 7:09 and a few minutes later a layup by Reynolds brought the Eagles within four. The Devils outscored the Eagles 11-3 over the last five minutes to take a 36-25 advantage into the half.

The teams traded baskets for the first ten minutes of the second half and Post trailed 54-44 with 10:43 remaining. Jessica Sylvester scored the next six points for USciences to put themselves ahead 60-47. Down the stretch, the Eagles started making shots from long distance, but the Devils answered right back with threes of their own and never let Post get back into it as they pulled out the 79-65 victory.

Doyle made three three-pointers on the day and finished with a season-high 11 points off the bench. Monique Chance scored seven points and grabbed eight boards, while Casey Brooks had nine points. Traub led all scorers with 27 points.

The Eagles were impressive from the free-throw line, missing only one of their 19 attempts; they also had six steals on the afternoon.

Post will have a week off before they travel up to Southern New Hampshire next Saturday.
