ALBANY, NY (November 11, 2011) The Post University women's basketball team got their season off on the right foot Friday night with a 93-48 victory over Queens College in the first round of the St. Rose Tournament.

Queens stayed close with the Eagles for a while and held a 15-12 lead with just about 12 minutes remaining in the first half. Post outscored the Knights 39-9 to close out the half, going into the break ahead 51-24. The second half was much of the same as the Eagles rolled to a 45 point victory.

Three Eagles finished the night with double-digit points, led by Jacquelynne Pugh with 17 off the bench. Casey Brooks added 15 points and Aubrey Latham chipped in with 12. Monique Chance nearly posted a double-double finishing with nine points and 10 rebounds.

The Eagles will be back in action tomorrow afternoon against St. Rose.
