WATERBURY, Conn. (January 29, 2011)--The Post University women's basketball team defeated Georgian Court University, 57-48, in an entertaining game Saturday afternoon at the Drubner Center.

Diaysha Brewington was a beast for the Eagles, (7-11, 5-6 CACC) racking up 18 points 7 rebounds, and 5 blocks.

Raven Wright-James added 7 points and 6 rebounds. Nine different players scored for Post University,
including guard Taylor Doyle, who knocked down two three-pointers in her home debut.

The Eagles held Georgian Court to just 29 percent shooting for the game, and forced 20 Lions turnovers.

Lauren Staats led the Lions with 17 points. Brittany Baker added 10 points and 9 rebounds for Georgian Court (0-20, 0-13).

 Point guard Jasmine Lewis also played well for the Lions, scoring 9 points and pulling down 7 rebounds.

The Eagles return to action February 5 when they travel to Wilmington, Del., to take on Goldey-Beacom College.
