WATERBURY, Conn. (January 22, 2011)---Chestnut Hill College defeated Post University, 55-39, in a CACC women's basketball clash Saturday in Philadelphia.

Lindsay Alexander led the Griffins (5-11, 3-6 CACC) with 14 points and 8 rebounds.

Ebony Washington was a beast down low for Chestnut Hill, grabbing an impressive 18 rebounds. Washington also added 9 points. Cecelia Herald chipped in with 13 points and 6 boards for the Griffins.

The Eagles (6-9, 4-4 CACC) were led once again by guard Casey Brooks, who scored 10 points. Brooks has led the Eagles in scoring in each of the past three games.

Mallorie Michalak had 9 points and 7 rebounds for Post University. 

The Eagles fell behind 20-0 and did not score until a Kelli Reynolds jumper found the bottom of the net with 11:34 to go in the first half.

They trailed 35-12 at halftime.

Post University returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Bloomfield College to take on the league-leading Lady Deacons.
