Lady Chargers Top Eagles 67-53 in Conference Opener

DOMINICAN, NY (December 1, 2010) Despite 22 points and five rebounds from Kelli Reynolds, Post University's women's basketball team lost the first road conference game of the season to Dominican 67-53 Wednesday night.

The Eagles led the game by as many as seven points in the first half. The lead was a result of Reynolds and Monique Chance attacking offensively early on. Post University held a 33-30 lead heading into the locker room at the half with the help of 33 percent to Dominican's 20 percent shooting from long range.

Dominican would not be quieted at home for the conference opener and chipped away at the Eagle lead in the second half. Shannon Levelle hit a three pointer to cut the lead to one and stole the ball on the following possession. Bianca Harris would score in the paint to give the Chargers a lead they would not turn back from.

Post University struggled from the floor in the second half going 6 for 25 and 0 for 4 from beyond the arc falling 67-53.

The Eagles will travel to take on Cheney this weekend.
