WATERBURY, Conn--The University of Bridgeport defeated Post University, 80-67 at the Drubner Center on Thursday night. Kelly Keil led the Purple Knights (1-2) with 16 points. Six players scored in double figures for Bridgeport, and Elsebeth Birman scored 13 points and had 9 assists for the Purple Knights.

It was the home opener for the Eagles.

The Eagles (0-3) were led by Casey Brooks, who had 17 points. Kelli Reynolds had 11 points and 5 rebounds for the Eagles.

Post University returns to the Drubner Center Sunday at 4 pm against Washington Adventist.
