The Post University women's basketball team fell to The College of Saint Rose, 85-48, in the opening round of the James A. Richardson Tip-Off Tournament Friday night. 

Casey Brooks scored 14 points for the Eagles (0-1), and Diyasha Brewington grabbed 10 rebounds.

Saint Rose put together a balanced attack, led by guard  Lynsey Timbrouck, who scored a game-high 17 points. 

Junior guard Ashley Rath had 16 points for the Golden Knights.


 The game, which was originally scheduled to start at 6:00 pm, was delayed 90 minutes due to the late arrival of the officials.

As a result, the second game of the scheduled doubleheader between Lock Haven and Lincoln University, was postponed. The two teams agreed to play at a later date this season.
