NEW CASTLE, DE (January 9, 2010) Post University's Women's Basketball team lost to Wilmington on the road Saturday afternoon 79-53, in a conference matchup. The Eagles now stand at 4-9, 0-5 CACC. Wilmington holds a 6-7, 3-2 CACC record.

Post University was lead by Aubrey Latham's 20 points and 11 rebounds. Kendra Pitts added 8 points, while Wilmington's Amelia Simmons tallied 24 points with 11 rebounds. 

The first half was a struggle for the Eagles shooting 29.6 percent from the floor. With 15:37 to play in the first, Post University's Casey Brooks hit a three pointer to pull the Eagles within 2. Wilmington quickly responded to build a 10 point advantage, which Post University cut into once again. Before the half ended, the Wildcats held the Eagles to only one bucket in the final 4 minutes for a 42-23 lead.

With 10:30 to play in the second half, Wilmington amassed a 31 point edge. Post University's shooting fell to 26.3 percent, while the Wildcats shot 41.4 percent for the half. The Eagles would attempt to narrow the gap, but lost with a final score of 79-53.

Post University will be back in action again on January 19th on the road against Concordia.
