Bloomfield Downs Women's Basketball 77-53

WATERBURY, Conn (January 26, 2010) Post University's Women's Basketball team fell to Bloomfield Tuesday night at the Drubner Center 77-53. The Eagles now have a 5-11, 1-6 CACC record. Bloomfield remains the top team in the conference at 7-8, 7-1 CACC.

Aubrey Latham led Post University with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Mallorie Michalak added 14. Bloomfield's Tiffany McDaniel scored 15 points.

At one point in the first half, the Deacons had a six point lead, but with 8:47 to play the Eagles tied the game at 17. Over the next seven minutes Bloomfield would extend the lead once again this time to 10, before heading into the locker room with a 39-34 advantage.

The Eagles competed with the 1st ranked Deacons in the early stages of the second half. Down the stretch, Bloomfield took advantage of free throws and 3 point field goals to extend the lead to an eventual 77-53 point victory.

Post University will be back in action again on Thursday night at home against Felician. Tip-off is at 6pm.
