WATERBURY, Conn (September 27, 2010) Sprint football player Derrick Chance has been named Post University Male Athlete of the Week.

Derrick Chance scored Post University’s first sprint football touchdown Friday night on Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Daniel Awwad caught a 37 yard pass at the Penn four yard line. Two plays later Chance leaped over a defender and rolled into the end zone. Chance also scored on a two point conversion, just barely extending his arm past the goal line for the score.

Post University’s sprint football team will take on the Big Red of Cornell Friday night in Ithaca, NY. Kick-off is scheduled for 7pm.
