Eltany Morais and Diana Castellano Named Post University Athletes of the Week

WATERBURY, Conn (October 12, 2009) For the second week in a row, Cross Country runner Diana Castellano has been named Post University’s Female Athlete of the Week. Men’s Soccer player Eltany Morais is a first time winner of the award.

Castellano continues to be impressive in the 2009 Cross Country season, this time winning the Mitchell Cross Country Meet on Wednesday of last week. Castellano ran the 5K course in 20:20, guiding the Eagles to a second place finish.

Eltany Morais earns the honor after scoring two goals in the Eagles 4-0 victory over Concordia Tuesday night at Municipal Stadium. The two goals were his first of the season and his career as a collegiate athlete. 

The 4-0 win capped of a memorable night for Post University, as the 2008 Men’s Soccer CACC Championship winning team was on hand for a special ring ceremony to commemorate their victory one year ago. 

This week features one home game on the Post University Athletics schedule as Women’s Soccer hosts Caldwell Tuesday afternoon at 3pm.
