BRIDGEPORT, Conn (November 13, 2011) The Eagles fell to UMass-Lowell 60-50 in the second game of the season at the Bridgeport tournament Sunday afternoon. Post is now 0-2 on the young season and will take on St. Anselm on Saturday.
Post University kept the River Hawks off the scoreboard for the first 6:55 of the game as the Eagles opened up a 5-2 lead early. Post opened the game using most of the shot clock on every possession to control the tempo.
With 7:29 to play in the first half, Post held an 11-10 advantage, but the River Hawks went on a 20-6 run heading into halftime to take a 30-17 lead at the break

Out of the locker rooms Jake Wilcox hit a jumper to get things going for Post. Wilcox would tally a team leading 13 points that was matched by his teammate Zach Krischer who added 13 of his own.
After UMass-Lowell got out to a 16 point second half lead, the Eagles went back on the attack cutting the advantage to seven, 38-31 by the 13:33 mark. The comeback was led by Krischer with back to back three pointers and capped off by Danijel Mihalovi adding two free throws.
Mihalovi was a perfect two for two from the line with eight points and three rebounds.
With 8:49 to play the River Hawks built a lead 17 point lead once again, but the Eagles would not go away quietly.
Over the final six minutes Post went on a 13-6 run with buckets from Mike Stepovich, Wilcox, Mihalovi, Krischer, and Ryan Rock. Even with the hearty effort to cap of the day, the Eagles could not surpass the River Hawks falling 60-50.
Post University will travel to take on St. Anselm on Saturday November 19.
