Final 2010 NCBWA Poll

WATERBURY, Conn (May 12, 2010) Post University's baseball team received three votes in the final 2010 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association East Region Poll. The Eagles late season charge saw them advance to the CACC Championship game falling to Dominican by a 6-4 tally.

Post University went 6-3 in the month of May including their run for the CACC title as a No. 5 seed in the six team double elimination tournament. Included in those wins were two post-season victories over top ranked Wilmington, a win against Dominican and Concordia, as well as a pair of must win regular season contests over Chestnut Hill.

Topping the list in this year's poll was Southern Connecticut State, followed by Franklin Pierce, New Haven, Stonehill, and C.W. Post.

During the 2009 season the Eagles appeared in the East Region Poll four times and ranked as high as seventh.

Post University finished the 2010 season 25-22 overall and 12-8 in conference play as CACC Championship runner up.
