Michael Wolfe and Samantha Canning Named Post University Athletes of the Week

WATERBURY, Conn (March 22, 2010) Baseball player Michael Wolfe and softball player Samantha Canning have been named this week's Post University Athletes of the Week.

Wolfe pitched against American International College on Friday afternoon leading Post University to a 6-3 victory.  In six innings Wolfe had nine strikeouts giving up three hits, two runs, and one earned run in the game.

Canning had seven hits scoring 3 runs in a 3-3 week for the Eagles. Canning hit a homerun against Queens College on Sunday helping Post University secure a 6-3 victory. Canning had a .647 slugging percentage along with a .412 batting average in six games last week.

Post University Softball will play at home on Tuesday afternoon against Mercy, while the baseball team is on the road against Bloomfield on Wednesday.
