Eagles Golf 4th after First Round of Johnny Palmer Classic; McGregor 2nd Individually

Day 1 Results

NEW LONDON, NC (February 22, 2010) Post University Golf Captain David McGregor* fired a 74 (37-37) in the opening round of the Johnny Palmer Classic on the 7,102 yard par-72 Old North Gate Country Club course. McGregor is currently second, and Post University is 4th.

The conditions were wet and soggy during the event, but that did not stop the tournament from beginning at 10am Monday morning in the shotgun format.

Sophomore Marchant deViller (41-37-78) is currently 11th, Lee Wanklyn is 43rd (42-42—84), in his collegiate debut Thomas Rees is 50th (45-41—86), and Gavin Wilson is 56th (42-45—87).

The Eagles will take to the course again tomorrow for day two of the Johnny Palmer Classic.
