Brewington dominates as Eagles rout Washington Adventist, 64-36

Diyasha Brewington had 14 points and 17 rebounds as Post University routed Washington Adventist, 64-36 Sunday at the Drubner Center.

Brewington was all over the floor for the Eagles (1-4), also recording 4 steals and standing out as the best player on the floor for much of the day.

The Eagles led the entire way, helping Alan Stekloff to his first ever collegiate head coaching win. Stekloff spent the past two seasons as an assistant with the team.

Eleven different players scored for Post University. Casey Brooks and Raven Wright-James each had 9 points, and Mallorie Michalak added 7 points and 6 steals.

Vanessa Rice led the way for Washington Adventist (0-3), with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Angelica Neveraz had 9 points for the Lady Shock.

The Eagles scored 26 points on 27 Washington Adventist turnovers, and got a huge lift from their bench, outscoring the Lady Shock reserves 20-3. 

Post University used good ball movement to shred the Lady Shock defense, as nine different players recorded an assist. Michalak led the Eagles with 3 assists.

The Eagles will return to action November 29 when they travel to New York to take on Mercy College.
