Post University Women's Basketball Sneaks by Washington Adventist 82-80

TAKOMA PARK, MD (January 7, 2010) Post University's Women's Basketball team picked up its first road win of the 2010 season over Washington Adventist University 82-80. The non-conference win improves the Eagles record to 4-8 overall.
The Eagles were led by freshmen Aubrey Latham with 24 points and Casey Brooks who netted 18. Erin Duffie scored a game-high double double with 36 points and 15 rebounds.
In the first half, Post University was explosive on offense outscoring the Shock 50-30. Washington Adventist had 34 turnovers in the game.
The second half, it was the exact opposite as the Eagles shooting began to falter giving up the lead from the first half. With 37 seconds to play in the game, Duffie hit a jumpshot to give the Shock an 80-79 point lead. Junior Mallorie Michalak calmly connected on 3-for-4 shooting from the charity stripe to secure the Eagles 82-80 victory.
Post University will be back in action Saturday afternoon for a road conference match-up against Wilmington.
