Orlando, FL - The Post Softball team defeated Mt. Saint Mary's to pick up their first wins of the 2009 season on opening weekend. Post won the first game 12-0 and the second game 5-2. The Eagles are now 2-0 on the season.

In game one, sophomore Stephanie Carrillo pitched a one hitter and struck out seven batters. She also had 2 hits and 3 RBIs to contribute to the Eagles winning effort offensively. Sophomore Samantha Canning went 3-3 hitting for Post in the 12-0 victory.

In game two, Post won 5-2 with a solid pitching effort from Lindsey Heiser an Eagle junior from Canajoharie, NY who had 6 strikeouts.

Post will play again today in Florida against Penn State Hazelton.
