Men's Cross Country Races Past Bridgeport, Women Take 2nd in Tri-Meet
WATERBURY, CT - The Post University men's cross country team had three runners finish in the top 5, including the 1st and 3rd place finishers to lead the Eagles to victory over the University of Bridgeport last Wednesday afternoon at Hop Brooke Park.
In the women's race, Bridgeport captured 1st place with four finishers in the top five. Led by
Megan Oates 4th place finish, Post took 2nd, ahead of Caldwell College. Oates' time of 25:15 was just 1:34 behind Raluca Duma of UB. Sam Canning (27:35) and
Megan Dolinskas* (28:52) came in 9th and 10th respectively for the Lady Eagles.
Mark Spellman of Post crossed the line in 35:20 to lead all men's runners, ten seconds ahead of UB's Jermaine Washington and 21 seconds ahead of teammates Jeff Lundell. Ben Schoenberg took 4th for the Eagles with a time of 39:38.
