Box Score - Farmingdale State
ORLANDO, FL - Post University Softball split their double header on Tuesday winning against Newbury College 15-0, and dropping the contest to Farmingdale State 6-2.
In game one, the Eagles were again led by Lindsey Heiser who pitched her way to a win leaving Newbury College with no runs scored.
In game two, Post came up against a formidable opponent in Farmingdale State. It was tied at one a piece after the top of the third inning in it would stay that way until the 6th. Post took a 2-1 lead when Amy Mantha was batted in by a sacrifice fly from Cassidie Ern. The Eagles stranded runners on the corners to end the inning as Stephanie Carrillo flied out.
In the bottom of the sixth, Farmingdale State scored 5 runs off of 6 hits, giving them a 6-2 advantage.
Post was unable to mount a charge in the top of the 7th as only Elizabeth Johnson was able to get on base with a single. Samantha Pagano, Kim Benston, and Mantha were unable to get on base in the inning making the final score 6-2.
