A 1970 All-America selection in baseball, he led the basketball team in scoring for two seasons. He received the J. Francis Boland Scholar-Athlete Award, and went onto to play professional baseball. Hill was a three sport athlete as he participated in Baseball, Men's Basketball and Cross Country.
