One of the greatest players to ever take the field in a Post University Baseball uniform, Dan Luisi added the Post University Athletics Hall of Fame to his legendary resume in 2025, 15 years after the end of his four-year career as an Eagle. Luisi played four years under Senior Associate Director of Athletics AJ McNamara from 2006 until 2010, becoming a three-year captain for the program, and rewriting the record books along the way.

In his four seasons at Post, Luisi played in 173 games, hitting .300 with 193 hits, 116 runs scored, 74 runs batted in, 93 walks, 26 stolen bases, 15 doubles, two triples, and a .947 fielding percentage. The Bethpage, New York native was a 2008 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention before being named CACC All-Conference First Team and All-ECAC First Team in 2010.

As of 2025, Luisi still holds the program record for most hits (193), at-bats (638), and games played (174), while having the second-most walks in program history with 93 in his career and third-most runs scored in a career with 115.
