Polaski and Walker Named To IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Both Recognized By IWLCA For First Time



2014 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) and Kathy Walker (Dorchester, Mass.) of the Post University women's lacrosse team were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll on Tuesday.
 
To be honored a student-athlete must have achieved junior status academically and have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or greater. A total of 149 student-athletes from 45 different Division II institutions were recognized.
 
Polaski has picked up numerous postseason awards including being named Capital One Academic All American. She finished the year as the team-leader in goals (42), assists (37), points (79), ground balls (70), caused turnovers (32), and draw controls (78). Polaski led the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and was top-15 in the NCAA in ground balls (2nd), assists (9th), caused turnovers (10th), points (13th), and draw controls (15th).
 
Walker started all 16 games in net for the Eagles and led the CACC in saves (237) and save percentage (50.5%). She was second in Division II in saves and saves per game (14.81) and sixth in save percentage. Walker also earned All-Academic honors from the CACC.

A total of 738 student-athletes across all divisions were recognized.
