Ross Earnshaw Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar

Earnshaw Earns Honor For Second Consecutive Season



Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. – Ross Earnshaw (York, England) of the Post University golf team was named Division II Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar on Wednesday. This marks the second year in a row Earnshaw has earned the honor.
 
The senior captain was named All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for the fourth time in his career this season. Earnshaw was named CACC Golfer of the Week on March 24 it was the second time in his career he's received that honor. He shot a 70, his low round of the season, in the final round of the Irish Creek Invitational in February. Last time out, Earnshaw was tied for 47th at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional.
 
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 78.0 in Division II, and maintain a minimum cumula­tive grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
 
A total of 75 Division II student-athletes and a total of 207 players across all divisions earned the honor in 2014.
