Capital One Division II Academic All-American ReleaseYOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Junior
Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) of the Post University women's lacrosse team was named to the Capital One Academic All-American Division II Women's At-Large Third Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.

Polaski boasts a 3.98 GPA and is currently working on a degree in Biology. She is the first member of the lacrosse team to ever earn the honor.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher, be enrolled at the institution for more than two semesters, and be named to the Academic All-Region First Team. The award recognizes individuals for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. The Women's At-Large program includes the sports of bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis, and water polo.

Polaski has picked up numerous postseason awards including being named to the ECAC All-Star and All-CACC Second Team. This season she became the second player to score 100 goals in her career and is Post's all-time leading goal scorer at 103 in her career. She finished the year as the team-leader in goals (42), assists (37), points (79), ground balls (70), caused turnovers (32), and draw controls (78). The 45-member Academic All-America Team had a combine GPA of 3.89.

Post had its best season in school history finishing with a 4-12 record including a 4-8 CACC record, good for third in the North Division.
