CACC Release
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Eight Post University student-athletes were named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Fall All-Academic Team on Wednesday. Women's soccer led the way with five student-athletes selected to the team.
In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport in the Fall. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher through the spring semester.
Women's soccer was led by seniors
Gabby Verilli (Naugatuck, Conn.) and
Grace McConnell (Leeds, England) who were both selected for the third time in their careers. Two-time honoree junior
Brina Yanez (West Haven, Conn.) and sophomores
Brianne Scott (Williamstown, N.J.) and
Alja Poklar (Koper, Slovenia) rounded out the team.

Sophomore
Raphael Moura (Danbury, Conn.) of the men's soccer team earned the honor for the first time in his career. Earlier this year, Moura received the Top XIV Award for having the highest grade-point average participating in the finals site at the CACC Championship.

Juniors
Julia Slyaktina (Moscow, Russia) of the volleyball team and
Lauren Gelati (Thomaston, Conn.) of the women's tennis team earned the honor for the first time in their careers.

A total of 184 student-athletes from the 14 conference institutions earned a spot on the team. Women's soccer led the conference with 60 total selections.
