Ten of Post University’s Athletes Named to CACC All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn (June 14, 2011) – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has announced its All-Academic team for the 2011 spring athletic season. Post University had 10 student-athletes make this year's team of the 100 total athletes from the 14 conference schools. This year's team has seven more students than the 2010 spring team.

Post University's softball team is well represented with juniors Samantha Pagano (Marketing) and Kim Bentson (Biology), in addition to sophomores Lianna May (Business Management), and Johanna Rice (Accounting).

The men's golf team had three student-athletes represented including senior David McGregor* (Management), junior Marchant Di Villiers (Business Administration), and sophomore Thomas Rees (undecided).

Women's lacrosse had junior Sara Cramer (Legal Studies) made the team and men's tennis player Mark Risbridger (Business Administration) was also recognized.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport in the spring. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the spring semester. Freshmen are not eligible for the CACC All-Academic team.
