New Haven, Conn (June 4, 2010) Post University's student-athletes were well represented on the 2010 Spring CACC All-Academic team with six athletes being recognized by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for their efforts in the classroom. A total of 93 athletes make up this year's class.
Junior baseball player
Sean Jarrett (3.77 GPA, Sports Management) and junior golfer
David McGregor* (3.67 GPA, Management) were named to the team for the second consecutive year.
Softball's Kim Benton (3.62 GPA, Marketing) and
Samantha Pagano (3.67 GPA, Biology), along with golfers Marchant de Villiers (3.90 GPA, Business Administration) and
Gavin Wilson (3.54 GPA, Legal Studies) were also named to the team in their first year of eligibility.
In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a spring CACC-sponsored championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters. They must also achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the preceding semester.
