Five of Post University’s Athletes Named to CACC All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn (January 21, 2010) – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has announced its All-Academic team for the 2009 fall athletic season today. A total of 149 student-athletes among the 14 conference schools have earned a spot on the team this year, which is 31 more than the 2008 fall team.

Post University's women's soccer team is well represented with juniors Rachel Shivers (3.95, Management) Allison Monroe (3.89, Psychology), Elizabeth Johnson, (3.66, Sports Management), in addition to senior cross country runner Megan Dolinskas* (3.93, Equine Business Management). It is the second time each have been named to the All-Academic team.

Volleyball sophomore Taylor Doyle (3.66 GPA, Business Administration), was recognized for her academic efforts for the first time as a sophomore. Freshmen are not eligible for the CACC All-Academic team.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport in the fall. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester.
