Sutton and Johnson Garner Winter All-CACC Academic Honors
NEW HAVEN, CT – Post University Women's Basketball players
Jackie Sutton and
Elizabeth Johnson have been named to the Winter All-CACC Academic team. A total of 26 student-athletes among the 13 conference schools earned the honor.
Jackie Sutton, a graduate student from Dryden, NY is a student in the MBA program maintaining a 3.86 GPA. Sutton served as a team captain this season starting 24 of 27 games and scoring 7.9 points per game. She was also a factor on the defensive glass and averaged 4 rebounds per game. This is the second time Sutton had been selected to the All-CACC Academic team for winter athletes.
Elizabeth Johnson is a sophomore management major maintaining a 3.73 GPA from Manchester, CT. Johnson had a breakout season this year for Post basketball scoring 7 points per game and pulling down 4.1 rebounds. She was a consistent starter on the 2008-2009 team, and was ranked 3
rd in average playing time for Post.
In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a winter CACC Championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher.
